Whether you’re a history buff, a nature enthusiast, or a family seeking fun-filled activities, the guide will help you create lasting memories.”

Callie Summerlin, artist and marketing director at Visit Port Arthur, created the cover.

“I wanted to highlight our swampy, coastal culture. After all, Port Arthur is the Cajun Capital of Texas! From mossy trees to coastal critters and friends enjoying crawfish and live music on the water, this cover tells the story of life on the border of Texas and Louisiana. We may be a handful of small communities, but we pack a big cultural punch. I hope our residents feel proud and see themselves and their surroundings reflected in this scene. This piece represents 226 hours of work. I believe in an honest creative practice, so I don’t use A.I. tools. Just grit and hard work! I think that spirit defines the citizens of Southeast Texas. Of course, I hope this guide inspires travel to our corner of Texas for years to come!”

The new Visitors Guide is available in print and digital formats. Travelers can pick up a copy at visitor centers, hotels, and participating businesses throughout Beaumont, Port Arthur, Nederland, Port Arthur and Groves. The digital version can be downloaded from the official websites of both CVBs: VisitPortArthur.com and VisitBeaumontTx.com
