Explore the Big Thicket 

The Big Thicket National Preserve and Visitor Center protects over 113, 000 acres of land and water that spread throughout seven counties in Southeast Texas. Forty miles of Hiking trails, Neches River, creeks, and bayous wind throughout the Big Thicket. You can camp, walk, bird watch, canoe and kayak!

On Birding  – In 2001, Big Thicket was designated a Globally Important Bird Area by the American Bird Conservancy. The preserve is home to approximately 185 resident or migratory bird species.
