Rodney Crowell & Friends

April 24 @ 12:00 pm

Gulf-Coast-Gala

Gulf Coast Gala

Singer/songwriter Rodney Crowell has worked with the greatest hit makers, from Johnny Cash and Kris Kristofferson to Emmylou Harris and Vince Gill. He’s a record producer, performer and music director who has written songs and hits for Waylon Jennings, The Oak Ridge Boys, Jerry Reed, Bob Seger and Crystal Gayle.

That’s just the beginning. Alan Jackson, Keith Urban, Lee Ann Womack and Tim McGraw are on his list. Did we mention Wynonna Judd? The list of performers he has worked with  – and awards he has won –  is long.

Want a personal “concert” from Rodney Crowell? The Port Arthur Higher Education Foundation, Inc., befitting Lamar State College-Port Arthur and Museum of the Gulf Coast, is offering a virtual presentation. Join the celebration when it posts at noon Saturday, April 24 online. You can hear these hits through Tuesday, April 27. Supporters will get a private link. Sign up here. Or, email wommaccl@lamarpa.edu.

Did you know our area is known for music?  Visit Museum of the Gulf Coast for displays on some of our greatest performers.
