Blessing of the Fleet Decorated Boat Parade

Bring the family to enjoy this year’s Blessing of the Fleet Decorated Boat Parade presented by the Port Arthur Yacht Club on Pleasure Island. This age old tradition now includes all faiths and aims to ensure a safe and bountiful season. The PAYC has invited Father Sinclair Oubre to officiate over the blessing, which will include an initial prayer and ceremonial holy water as each boat passes by his. The Club’s junior sailors will participate alongside members in their decorated smaller vessels.

The public is invited to watch, and the PAYC encourages all to practice safe distancing throughout the event.
