Finally!

Tia Juanita’s famous grilled fish tacos and Mexican specialties with a Cajun flair are ours! We’ve been watching the huge beachy-blue building progress on Jimmy Johnson Boulevard and now we’re packing the place offering a relaxed, funky-fun atmosphere.

Here’s the owner’s wife fishing for fun.

Tia Juanita Fish Camp restaurants are popular in several Southeast Texas towns and now Port Arthur has its very own. We’re pretty sure it’s bigger, too. Come see for yourself. A larger-than-life portrait of the owner’s wife, adorable fishing togs is a main attraction in one of several seating areas. A vintage-look Pleasure Island sign spans the wall behind the oyster bar.

Enjoy an icy margarita and fried alligator bites in the enclosed patio-style area near Babe Zaharias Golf Course or indulge in shrimp brochette or New Orleans Bar-Que Shrimp in the dining area with art including a homage to Port Arthur’s own Janis Joplin. Fajitas and gumbo add to the Tex-Mex and Cajun fusion.

Tia Juanita’s offers live music, so check out their Facebook for who’s performing next.
