Amuny’s Liquor and Deli

Amuny’s Liquor & Deli is a delicious tradition in Port Arthur. Go all the way to the back to get your poor boy sandwich. There are booths, but many locals find their poor boy best enjoyed to-go, along the Port Arthur seawall, watching the tankers pass.

The ready-made sacks have a few varieties, but the original, maybe with a deviled egg and chips on the side, is our personal favorite. There’s the fresh bread… the cheese and meats… the tangy sauce….

Amuny’s also makes popular party trays featuring the towers of the sliced sandwiches.
