Texas Highways on Janis Joplin’s Texas Roots: “Piece of My Heart”
“This summer marks 50 years since a 23-year-old from Port Arthur moved to San Francisco to become a pioneering female rock star,” is the lead-in for “Piece of My Heart: Janis Joplin’s Texas Roots.”

Shannon Brady’s illustration and photos by Will van Overbeek and Brandon Jakobeit tie the spread together.
