Mardi Gras full of concerts
Plan to catch concerts and a choreographed laser show each night of Mardi Gras of Southeast Texas, Feb. 23-26, in downtown Port Arthur. Graphics, dimensional aerial fans, waves and beam matrix laser effects combine with a musical soundtrack.
The Yellowfin Elite Redfish Series Classic Kickoff, with4 p.m. live weigh ins Feb. 24-26 and decorated boat “floats” in Saturday’s Majestic Krewe of Aurora Grand Parade, is another new feature.

Look for the return of the Budweiser Clydesdales. Concerts include Bag of Donuts, Casey Donahew and Granger Smith. A KidZone, carnival rides and gumbo cook off will make this 25th anniversary edition epic.
Visit Museum of the Gulf Coast, by festival grounds, to experience our musical heritage including Janis Joplin, Clifton Chenier, George Jones and the Big Bopper.
