What’s new in Port Arthur? Humidor Cigar Lounge is getting attention as a sophisticated establishment for adult indulgences. That includes a walk-in, well-stocked humidor, bar service and occasional live music.
Humidor Specialist
This is the title for staff who can guide guests through the walk-in humidor. Some may choose classic blends such as Connecticuts, Maduros and Sumatras. Others may go for something more novel, such as a Don Rafa with notes of peach cobbler or Groovy Blue Tatiana. Humidor specialists are well versed on the Humidor collection and ready to make product suggestions for veteran connoisseurs and newcomers.
Mixed Company and Dress Codes
“Here at Humidor, we thrive on our warm and relaxing environment for business professionals,” LaToya Young says. She is Humidor business and marketing consultant. “The lounge encourages a co-ed environment and is for business professionals 30 and older. We have an enforced dress code on Friday and Saturday nights.”
Well, who doesn’t love dressing up for a night on the town? But don’t worry. By co-ed, she means women are welcome. And while you can get all dolled up, the dress code is more basic. In the day time, some patrons are still in their work clothes. Weekend nights trend toward the dressy, so no sweatsuits, athletic gear or flip flops.
Attention to Detail
“We thrive on prompt and friendly customer service,” Young said.
Expect a relaxed feeling in comfy leather chairs arranged for conversation. Or, for date night. Staff will attend to your every need. In addition to cigars, there are accessories for sale.
Music and Art
Art on the walls and rhythm and blues from area artists further enhance your visit. Locals say they are enjoying this “something new” in town. Owners Chandrea Celestine, Vincent Shelvin and David Marcel are owners of Humidor, which has the whole town talking about this “something new” lounge.
Full Bar and a Fine Cigar
Popular drink orders include signature drinks, The Humidafire and Huminator. We’ll just let you get to the lounge to ask what temptations are mixed into those sips.

Hold the Fire!
Not a Cigar smoker? That’s ok! Customers often drop in for a cocktail, to hear music and follow sports, fights and other TV selections.
Humidor also features three private VIP areas for small groups to reserve or meet up. Got a birthday, reunion, alumni meeting or team building group? Humidor staff welcomes you.
Member Perks
Owners are so sure you will want to come back, they suggest three membership packages with additional perks and rewards, including their popular locker rentals.
Fan Club
Clifford Distilling, LLC, headquartered in downtown Port Arthur, sets up at Humidor for special events. Humidor returns the favor every other Saturday by offering a variety of cigars when the distillery hosts live music.
Supporters include politicians and athletes. Former NFL player Danny Gorrer, Jaamal Charles, Johathan Babineaux and Jordon Babineaux have stopped by to sign autographs. Gary Hayes of “Gary With Da Tea,” Port Arthur native, radio host and actor, has also made an appearance.
