Taylor Bayou

Eastern woodland birds of the Pineywoods enjoy this bayou. Taylor Bayou is riparian woodland bordering a stream. Bird along main rights of way only, as bordering property is private. Rice fields flooded in spring attract numerous shore birds. Take Texas 73 west to Jap road. Travel north on Jap Road to the South Fork of Taylor Bayou. This area may draw swallow-tailed Kites, Northern Parulas, Yellow-throated Prothonotary and Swanson’s, Kentucky and Hooded warblers. Go north on Jap Road to the North Fork of Taylor Bayou, then continue north to Patterson Road. Go west on Patterson Road to Craigen Road and continue west back to the North Fork of Taylor Bayou.
