Rotary Taste of Gumbo, Etc.

So Many Gumbos!

Sample little bowls of the area’s best gumbos and other goodies at this popular event. The Taste of Gumbo, Etc. is a local favorite. Foodies make the rounds at booths where restaurants and civic groups have brought their best pots of gumbo. Trimmings such as rice, potato salad and bread are usually on the menu.

The Etcetera

That “etc.” could be anything. Desserts are sold to raise dollars for causes such as Capland Speech Therapy Center, Community Care-Prayer Outreach, United Board of Missions and Salvation Army. Funds also go toward college scholarships and leadership development.
