Hit the Cuisine Walk

Nederland residents celebrate Spring Break with a carnival and the best food on a stick you can imagine. The city’s Dutch heritage is a reason to gather for entertainment. Look for a craft and collectible market with more than 120 vendors and craftsmen. The market will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 14-15. Other events are centered around Boston Avenue throughout the week. The art and photography show will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 14. A parade will be at 10 a.m. Saturday March 14. Be sure to visit Tex Ritter Park that features the Windmill Museum. Other events: Washer tournament, crawfish races and a car and motorcycle show. Look for the petting zoo. The carnival and food trucks will be out daily. The carnival will begin at 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 10.
