The Juneteenth Showdown in Port Town V is the 5th annual United States Olympic Amateur Boxing event on June 6. \nThis is an opportunity for local clubs to compete before an audience and raise funds. Look for some of “the best in the nation” to show their skills. Towering bamboo\, lotus blossoms and citrus plants are part of the landscape. Koi ponds and statues dot the grounds. Bring your camera to capture the beauty and get a tour of the temple. Look for monks in saffron robes and relax in the outdoors. Vendors and cultural programs are part of the festival. \nThe event will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday\, June 6 and Sunday\, June 7. \nThe Rev. Tri Quang invites guests to enjoy the grounds and perhaps some vendor foods that have in the past included sugarcane\, sticky rice and bun rice noodles. \n
