Port Arthur is jumping into National Travel & Tourism Week, May 2-10, 2015!

We welcome guests every day of the year and this week is set aside for extra-special appreciation for travelers, restaurant and hotel workers and those who roll out the red carpet at attractions.

Enjoy improvements at Sea Rim State Park and view some migratory birds at Pleasure Island and Sea Rim State Park.

Make sure you get your fill of spicy Cajun seafood, Mexican platters and Asian flavors at our Port Arthur area eateries.

Be sure to catch the temporary exhibit at Museum of the Gulf Coast: Alert Today, Alive Tomorrow: Living With the Atomic Bomb, 1945-1965 – Museum of the Gulf Coast will host an exhibit showcasing the atomic paranoia of the 1950s from April 4-May 25. 2015. The curator has created a “bomb shelter.”

Join the Port Arthur Convention & Visitors Bureau staff from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, May 8 for Tourism Roundup. We will offer trail mix so you can “blaze a trail” to Port Arthur. Southeast Texas attractions will gather to show support for tourism week at the Ben J. Rogers Regional Visitors Bureau, 5055 Interstate 10 South in Beaumont.
