The boat races, dubbed Thunder on the Neches, will be Saturday and Sunday, May 2-3 as part of Port Neches RiverFest.

The festival opens at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, with music from Micah Tyler. Hawk Nelson will perform at 7:30 p.m.
Cody Canada & The Departed and Charlie Robinson play Thursday, April 30.
Friday’s performances begin at 7 p.m. with Mike & the Moon Pies. Shiny Ribs hits the stage at 8:30 p.m. and Josh Abbot Band will play at 10:30 p.m.
Saturday’s line up begins with Longneck Road at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 2, followed by Champagne Room, a fireworks show, Champagne Room again and Bag-O-Donuts.
