Mardi Gras in Port Arthur has a Texas twang and a Cajun flavor, Feb. 4-7 in downtown Port Arthur.
Between catching beads at lighted parades, catch some concerts covering everything from classic country and rock to the zydeco sounds of Wayne Toups on closing night.
His promotors call him a “good-looking country rocker” who will “never fail to get the party started and keep it going all night long.”
Who are we to argue with that?
We’re also looking forward to that high energy and outgoing personality we’ve heard about.
Joel is a homegrown talent from down the road in Beaumont. His first album, “The Game,” can be purchased at live shows and on iTunes. His first single and music video, “Let’s Roll” proved a success. He followed with his second single and music video, “If You Want Me To” and his third single and video featuring “The Game.”
The Mardi Gras crowd may be interested to know Joel played more than 200 shows this past year, and another 200 in 2014, with venues in Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma. Joel has shared the stage with stars such as Shenandoah, Gary Allan, Doug Stone, Kix Brooks, Wayne Toups, Aaron Watson and Rick Trevino.
Here’s the basics of Mardi Gras of Southeast Texas: The festival is primed for visitors to taste a family-friendly festival filled with lighted parades, a carnival and concerts.
