Christmas morning at Sea Rim State Park?
It’s doable. The park is open daily for campers and visitors. Several spent Thanksgiving at Sea Rim. Bryan Hein, the park’s customer service representative, said he expects them for Christmas, too.
“More people are hearing about us and word is spreading,” he said, referring to improved camp sites at the park.
Sea Rim offers 5 miles of natural beach along the Gulf of Mexico and the Gambusia Nature Trail through the marsh.
This year Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived by air boat to stay at the Marsh Unit cabin to celebrate A Very Marshy Christmas, and Hein said he expects they’ll return for the 2016 season.
Birders love Sea Rim, which is a great place for the family in any season with birding and fishing action along the upper Texas coast.
