See birds from around the world at the Triangle Bird Club’s 24th Annual Exotic Bird Expo & Fair, 9 a.m. to 5 pm. Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 19-20, at the Robert A. “Bob” Bowers Civic Center in Port Arthur.
Blue & gold macaws, scarlet macaws, cockatoos, parrots, cockatiels, love birds, parakeets, finches, canaries and more will be at the show. They hail from rainforests, Africa, South America, Australia, Asia, Costa Rica and Mexico.
Choose your own “Polly Parrot” and shop for toys, care books, supplies, feed and cages for birds and animals at wholesale prices.
The Triangle Bird Club organizers encourage visitors to gather at the show through church and school groups, clubs and families. Admission will be $5 for adults for each day or $7 for both days. Admission will be free for children younger than 12. Concessions will be available.
